a little bit of this is written by Kimberly P, a twenty-something mother, wife, teacher, nanny, and lover of dress-up. My friends call me "Martha," but we only refer to her from the pre-house arrest days. I like to vacuum, cook, exercise, play with make-up, get dressed, and juggle too many things at one time. Superwoman? Not quite. But there's no sense in giving up the goal. Readers visit for daily lifestyle tips and tricks, exercise woes and victories, new recipes, outfit ideas, giveaways, reviews, and lots of fun.

a little bit of this began in November, 2009 primary as an outfit of the day blog. As a new mother trying to dig out of the mundane wardrobe rut that so many of us face, I started this blog to hold myself accountable to getting dressed in the morning. Over the course of the almost two years I've been blogging, my career has dramatically changed and my desire to "get dressed" is so swimming that I don't need a daily post to remind myself that it's important. Job well done, blog. In my new career as a full-time nanny for four children (including my own little girl), it's not practical for me to wear a dress and heels each day. Feeling pressured to keep up daily outfit photos, I decided it was best to move toward a lifestyle blog theme instead of a daily outfit theme.

a little bit of this is exactly what the title says- a little bit of clothing, a little bit of parenting, a little bit of food, a little bit of decorating, and a little bit of exercise. Each Tuesday, you'll find a  blog hop for Trendy Tots Tuesday, which is a place to showcase the little ones. Each Friday, I host a blog hop called Project Self, which highlights the ups and downs of my weight loss journey.

Important little things:
- I have insanely frizzy, wavy hair and I fight with it to become straight.
- I'm only 4'11", so I have to hem pretty much everything I own.
- Although I'm moving toward a smaller me, I'm still plus-sized and shopping is sometimes a hindrance.
- Eyeshadow and mascara are my best friends.
- First and foremost, I am a mother. My daughter is my world. And so is convenience.
- If I could dress like any woman in the world, I couldn't choose just one.
