Near You Always

I did it, again. I hope you don't mind. Also, don't worry- this is still my style blog! You didn't come to the wrong place. I think I'll figure how to otherwise incorporate singing into the blog without making posts about it each time I upload a video, but I have to brainstorm about it. For now, you guys are my only audience. If you want to listen, please do! If you don't care about my singing, that's perfectly fine, too.

Just a disclaimer: I'm not trying to be famous or get discovered. I know that's not the kind of voice that I have. I just want to sing and have a good time with it. And if other people want to share it with me, I'm so happy about that. That being said, I would really love to hear what you think about what "type" of voice I have. I've been struggling with genres for years and just have a hodge podge of instrumentals downloaded for recording. I don't know what kind of music I "fit," if that makes sense. So your suggestions and/or requests would really help me. If I can find an instrumental, I'll try my best to learn something you might like to hear!

Thanks- and here's my cover of "Near You Always," by Jewel.

  4. It's great to hear you singing (again!). I always thought you had a fabulous voice. Keep it up - and no need for any apologies. Fashion Momma, and any mom for that matter, needs to keep her style and her talents up!! :)

  8. Hmm, I don't think you have a voice "type". I mean, you don't sound like a country singer and your voice isn't as wispy as those that the more famous "folk" singers (like Jewel) have. Don't get me wrong, you sing beautifully, personally I don't think you should categorize yourself as a type :)
