A Mash-Up of Colors

Good morning, sweet friends of mine. I love you, always, but I'm feeling especially amicable toward everyone due to the extremely positive and uplifting feedback I've received from my first two YouTube videos. If you missed my debut of being totally freaked out on camera, please visit here and here! You'll also notice that I've added a YouTube widget to the left sidebar. I'm going to continue doing videos as often as time allows, but this is and will remain my style blog, so I don't want to dedicate an entire post to a video every time I do one. You can just check the widget if you'd like to hear me and my amateur vocals! Also, if you want to be awesome and subscribe to my channel, you'll be able to see when I upload new videos that way, too! Mmmk... shameless, I know. Can't knock me for wanting to share a very personal side of myself with you, right?

Speaking of getting up close and personal, let's take a look at my teal and red color combo, today. Perhaps I'm taking some notes on fashionable friends like Melissa, Collette, Jessica, Kendi, and Marilou, and getting colorful!!!

floral dress (as skirt): Target
teal top: New York & Company
cropped bow cardigan: Lauren Conrad for Kohl's
red tights: c/o We Love Colors
black boots: Payless

I hope you all haven't forgotten about Melissa and Hope and their awesome Fabulous in February feature! I'm very excited to be participating and concentrating on some special things that I like about myself! For more information, please check here! Each Monday in February, we will share three things we like about ourselves. NOT our things or our jobs, but things we like about what makes us "us."

I like ...
- ... that I"m confident. I'm sure of myself and my purposes as a mother, wife, friend and family member. I may not know what I want to be "when I grow up" (ahem, 27 comes on Sunday. crap.), but that's ok. As long as I "go confidently in the direction of my dreams," I feel good.
- ... my eyeballs. They're really pretty. Just sayin'. And I love making up my eyes with fun shadows and extra mascara. Eyes truly are the windows to our souls.
- ... my waist! I have one! Thank God!

Go LINK UP with Melissa or Hope (or both!) and tell us what YOU love about you!
You're fabulous!

I'm in my new office with a giant window! And there is a TON of work to be done!
I'm okay with that. But it leaves a less time for me to hang out in the blogosphere. That's what late nights and insomnia are for, anyway. Right?

  1. I'm jealous of the fact that you have a waist. No matter whether I'm skinny (like back in high school) or chubby (college) or fit (now)...I have no waist. Seriously, there is barely any curve between my chest and my hips. Sigh.

Just like Ke$ha (minus the craziness and whatnot), YOUR LOVE is my drug!
