Spring is Busting Out All Over

It's almost Friday.
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can go potty.
Wait, that's Little S.' mantra. Crap.
I think I can, I think I can, I think I can survive my ever expanding list of things to do that I have not learned how to do and am reading a manual to try and figure it all out at once.
Yup, there we go. That one's mine. Totally fits the bill for work this week!

You did notice, however, that I said it's almost Friday. And that just makes me think of sunshine and rainbows, butterflies and hummingbirds, bullfrogs and... oh, no? No bullfrogs. Friday! Woo! We're going up to Virginia to visit my family for the first time since Christmas. I am beyond excited. I miss my parents and my little brother so infinitely. I crave home. Soon. So, so soon.

When: Monday, March 21

mock wrap dress: New York & Company
striped boyfriend sweater: Old Navy
brown heels: Mudd, via Kohl's
brown skinny belt: New York & Company

I was excited to wear a floral print for the first day of Spring, but this dress is really plain all by its lonesome. It's a great date piece, but for work, it needed some more down-to-earth additions to make it less prim. It was another night of standing in the closet and holding up several combinations for Husband to choose from. Ultimately, I chose the dress and sweater, and he decided on the shoes and belt. I was going to stick my new hot pink belt on, but that idea got vetoed. Can you believe the political closet power Husband holds when he wears jeans and a polo every single day of his life? At least he's honest and knows what looks good on ze wifey.

We were in a mega rush to take photos, so the weed-ridden back yard had to serve a purpose other than growing approximately 18 different types of "flowers" that Little S. insists on picking, gifting to me, and making me feel uber guilty for not keeping in water for days.
Yes, I have dandelions and clover for home decor, these days.
She's a regular Jillian Harris, that kid...

All I have to say is, be thankful for that safety pin I so carefully placed so that you only got a teensy peek of cleave. The girls are singing tunes from Rogers and Hammerstein's "Carousel," a bit prematurely.
"June is busting out all over!"
Ladies, stay calm. It's only March. Plus, this was an office outfit. Jeez.

Thanks to everyone who weighed in on yesterday's post. I got a lot of great advice regarding options for skincare. The photo directly above is a good example of what my face looks like (redness) in comparison to the rest of my body. I was wearing a bit of Bare Minerals foundation on my face and chest, so the marks are muted. I look forward to pursuing at least one, if not some of the suggestions you made!

{side note: Ariana and Emily, I'm going to post for the tags you included me in this weekend! I haven't forgotten!!}

Let's sing and dance our way through Thursday so that Friday comes sooner and I can see you all, again!
